Menstuff Hunt Prize is ready!

Ok, here we go again! The Menstuff Hunt will start in a few days and LnL is READY! We have created this black skull "Carpe Diem" Tshirt (worn as a shirt)  with black Jeans (mod) to match as the hunt prize. Look for the usual blue sculpted Tshirt and check the "i" (hint giver) by the hunt posters to get an updated hint. Grimm Brothers Meets 2012 Hunt prize is out!

Grimm Brothers Meets 2012 Hunt was a fun challenge. Imagine how one of the characters of the Grimm stories would live, what they'd wear in 2012. LnL Square choose Red Riding Hood and we have created Wolf Tracking Goggles (see photo above for details). The prize is unisex and it has a resizer so you can adjust them to your avatar. LnL has been blogged!

It is with great enthusiasm that every now and then LnL Square receives a notecard saying that one of our creations has been blogged. This time it was Devin Vaughn who did an amazing job creating a very well structured post strongly based on carefully drafted visuals. The post is specifically about Group Gifts; Devin blogged LnL's Skully Scorpio Bike and mentioned the Belt with Bag and Set of Keys, also a group gift (at Mare Serenitatis, so if you haven't picked them up, run, because the store there will be closed soon). LnL was very impressed with Devin's fairly recent blog. It features a varied set of styles followed by clear and complete information about the creators, stores and locations. A new beginning for LnL Square!

Welcome to LnL Square! About a week ago, LnL opened the doors to the group members, to customers and hunters in our new location. After a wonderful time at Mare Serenitatis, LnL is back in Borgatti, where it settled after a short period of time in a small rented store.

The look changed from a Gothic feel to a Medieval castle. The store has four levels, two with outfits of the General and the Gothic Collections, one with the Kimonos Collection (small photo, left) and one with the Tshirt Collection (small photo, right). As you enter the store, to the right, there is the hunt information (ongoing and future hunts, hint giver and link to the LnL blog (Hunts label) where you can see all the hunt prizes. Right after the windows, you'll find a wall with general information about LnL and other inworld groups and finally a corner with the group gift and a few fun dollarbies!

100 Words, 100 Stories for Relay For Life

One 100 word story, that is all it takes for money to go to Relay For Life! So, here is the challenge. Crap Mariner will give Relay For Life (through the Relay Wizards For Spunky Team) $1USD for each person that sends in a recorded story (or stories) on the topic of "Life" for the July 15th 100 word stories weekly challenge up to $100USD. If you cannot record your story, let me know, send me an IM inworld. Stories without recordings do not count! Now we've done it! Wow and double wow! The Midsummer Night's Dream 3 Hunt is back and LnL had to go big! Lnl Square at the SL9B

Commotion and stress but also persistence and commitment were only a few of the ingredients that triggered residents to join efforts and organise the SL9B (Second Life's 9th Birthday). What started off hesitantly, due to reasons extensively discussed in the blogosphere, turned into an event of considerable dimension. Many residents worked hard to make the SL9B happen and the result promises to be impressive.

 LnL Square takes part in the SL9B with The Garden, an installation that is a powerful symbol of "Community", the theme for this year's celebration.

The  Gothic build emphasizes verticality, openess through its high arches and open windows.

The installation is surrounded by beautiful trees in oranges and purples that decorate the exterior greenery.

A seemingly heavy structure has, in reality, a very light feel to it and is very inviting of spending a few minutes resting from walking all around the SL9B grounds.

Drop by the LnL installation, take a moment and sit down. Enjoy the quietness of this quiet corner of SL9B!

Hot as Hell Hunt Prize!

Second Life is a world of possibilities! Hunts offer us the opportunity to experiment with different styles, different accessories and certainly different roles. SL9B last day for applications!

Today is the last day for applications! Exhibitors are being notified via email, but it might take a bit since there are about 450 applications. Tomorrow the sims will be opened for exhibitors to start building. The SL9B is moving at a steady pace towards the big opening day! The latest update from the organisation is that plots will be 32m x 32m, 1024m2 but now they will have 257 prims and not 234! More prims to play with! Yay! Above, another sneak peak of LnL's build for the SL9B! A bit of tinkering is still needed but the biggest amount of work is done! So, now we are eagerly waiting for the "go ahead" email from the organisation and we are good to go!

World Goth Fair - THANK YOU!

Thank you to all who bought the charity creations donated to the World Goth fair 2012! The picture above shows how much was raised for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. Congratulations to the organisers and all the amazing designers who gave their efforts and time to help a good cause, the fight against discrimination. Help needed urgently, fund raising event for animal shelter

A few weeks ago, London was contacted by Psikotik Gothly a fellow Second Life resident, asking for LnL's cooperation in raising funds to help the SVPAP, an animal shelter in Valencia - Spain, undergoing serious financial problems. Without our help, the five hundred animals living there will be put down... Both London and I love animals so we rolled up our sleeves and said "yes!". The result are these two absolutely stunning Tshirts London designed with a Lion and a Wolf. They are priced 99L, an unbeatable price, and all the money of the profits will go directly to the SVPAP Rescue Project. The Tshirts also bring pants (mod) to complete the look. If you can, PLEASE do consider helping out and buying a few of the items many designers donated. You will find them at the SVPAP skybox beautifully prepared by the organizers of this event. UPDATE: A warm thank you to all who participated in the fund raising for the animal shelter. The amount collected was 122.463 L$! The organisers tell us that the money was sent June 26 2012 to the PAYPAL account of the protection of animals (tesoreria@svpap.com). Thank you so much for your help!

The Medieval Fantasy Hunt V will wow you!

The Medieval Fantasy Hunt V starts tomorrow and will last till the end of the month. This is an extraordinary hunt for which LnL always makes sure to offer a fantastic prize!
