Commotion and stress but also persistence and commitment
were only a few of the ingredients that triggered residents to join
efforts and organise the SL9B (Second Life's 9th Birthday). What started
off hesitantly, due to reasons extensively discussed in the blogosphere,
turned into an event of considerable dimension. Many residents worked
hard to make the SL9B happen and the result promises to be impressive.
LnL Square takes part in the SL9B with The Garden, an installation that is a powerful symbol of "Community", the theme for this year's celebration.
The Gothic build emphasizes verticality, openess through its high arches and open windows.
The installation is surrounded by beautiful trees in oranges and purples that decorate the exterior greenery.
A seemingly heavy structure has, in reality, a very light feel to it and is very inviting of spending a few minutes resting from walking all around the SL9B grounds.
Drop by the LnL installation, take a moment and sit down. Enjoy the quietness of this quiet corner of SL9B!
Happy Birthday Second Life. May this event be a sign that Second Life is alive and kicking!
