LnL Reporting From The Maze!

Here's LnL Square, reporting from the Medieval Fantasy Fair... barely alive as you can see above!

We have been exploring the Maze and, well, you do need a strong heart and a very sharp eye, not to mention fast reactions! There we were, desperately trying to avoid being eaten by a giant spider and this tunnel comes up. No big deal, right? WRONG! Let's say, the plunge into boiling lava (photo detail)´was kind of hazardous to the skin! There's a ladder, so, climb back up and try again!

IF you reach the end alive, check out who's waiting for you! It's the same cheeky little devil who merrily waved goodbye as you innocently started off at the beginning of the Maze! We want to believe his evil grin has nothing to do with the pains we went through to get to the end of the Maze!

The Medieval Fantasy Fair Maze!

The Medieval Fantasy Fair has a lot to offer! 45 merchants who bring you a sample of their high quality products and a few gifts ;) gathered at the Rockin sim, in amazing surroundings set up by the awesome team of the Medieval Fantasy Hunt! However, that is not all! This team has prepared a challenge for you. A Maze! The photo above shows the maze start and in the small details you can see a few of the Dead Ends.

But there's more to a Dead End than one would see at first (hint, hint!). Grab the HUD (for 5L) at the beginning of the maze and find the runes (check details in the photo below for an example). At the end of the maze, you'll get a a lot of amazing gifts!

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to drop by the Medieval Fantasy Fair! It lasts till the end of the week, March 31, so hurry, hurry!

Medieval Fantasy Fair in the Destination Guide!

The Medieval Fantasy Fair is underway with great success! Lots of visitors have dropped by already! Have you? :) Hurry, hurry! It lasts till the end of this week only and there is a lot to explore! Notice the detail at the top left corner of the photo above. It's an image of the teleporters.

45 merchants gathered for this unique event, including LnL, in surroundings that are absolutely fantastic, six themed floating islands surrounded by waterfalls. Many of the stores have a courtesy gift.

As a recognition that is is indeed an extraordinary event, the Medieval Fantasy Fair made it to the Destination Guide in the category Featured Events. Click -- here!

LnL is happy to announce that it'll take part in the Medieval Fantasy Fair! The Fair grounds have been set up beautifully with many different areas to explore, including a labyrinth. In the photo above, you can see LnL's store. We have brought a lot of the medieval and fantasy outfits already released and, drum roll, LnL will release one new outfit especially for the Fair! It's an amazing red dragon unisex outfit, but more about it will be shared with you in an upcoming post! :)

St. George and the Dragon Hunt!

A short post to let you know that the St. George and the Dragon Hunt starts tomorrow, March 23, and ends April 23. LnL has created this awesome unisex outfit that includes a collar and a coat bottom (resizable) for the male and the female avatars. It's a 1L hunt, and it's totally worth it! With this outfit, you'll be ready to go dragon hunting! Click the red "i" (hint giver by the hunt posters) for an updated hint! If for some reason you get stuck at a store, check the Hunt's blog for the Slurl to the next location! You won't get stuck at LnL for sure. Upcoming Medieval Fantasy Hunt VIII

LnL is happy to announce its participation in the upcoming Medieval Fantasy Hunt VIII (MFH VIII)!

As we know, there is an array of hunts in Second Life with all sorts themes and prizes. Yet a very small number is dedicated to Medieval and Fantasy roleplay. This makes the MFH VIII an extremely interesting and fun hunt! Adding to that, the fact that the organisation team is extremely competent, always available to help the merchants and the hunters and very effective in making this a stress- and drama-free hunts. Plus, the hunters are very friendly and courteous. Soooo, be sure to take a note of this date, March 1!

New at LnL Square!

LnL Square never stops, although it may seem like it's a bit dormant at times ;) 2013 started with the addition of another parcel to the already existing areas!

So, we shuffled things around a bit and this is the result. At the top of the main building, where the discussion lounge was located, now you can enjoy an amazing cathedral! It's a really nice place for readings or talks, for instance.

The new area, you access through the smaller tower opposite the main entrance, now has the discussion lounge (by the fountain).You don't see anywhere to sit, right? Well, walk around and a lot of pillows will appear! Sit on one and they'll be there until you decide to leave :)

Check the small detail on the lower left corner of the photo above. Yep, you can invite some friends and play Parcheesi, a game for 4 people which can also be played with only 2! It's a lot of fun and I will never admit to pulling hair out when all my pieces are near the finish line and they get kicked out of the game! ;)

There is also, in the main building, a pool table! Can you find it? :)

Night Of A Wolf Hunt Prize!

Rollin' In The Snow Hunt Prize!

Yes! Two more hunts for December! One is the Rollin' In The Snow Hunt is all about having fun. LnL has created this white guitar with a Christmas feel to it. Notice the details (small photos). This guitar is worn in the back and it's resizable for a perfect fit to your avatar. This hunt prize is marked 1L. As you arrive to the store, click the red "i" (hint giver) by the hunt posters for an updated snowy hint :) Oh, and look for a snowman! Hint, go up high where it's cooler, snowmen like that!

London Junkers wins 1st place in Art Contest!

As you may recall, London took part in the Art of Protest Contest with the art installation "Paper against Peace" and the Awards Ceremony took place yesterday in the Shekhawati sim.

 It started with a beautiful concert of Indian Classical Sitar and Tabla play by VK and Nik.

Some of the participating artists in this Contest included Betty Tureaud, CaraMia Quan, Corcosman Voom, Eupalinos Ugajin, Hugo Krell, Noni Abeyante, Pol Jarvinen, Queen Bish, Riali Sandalwood, Secret Rage, Silene Christen and Sisi Biedermann and London Junkers, many of them present. Both Quan Lavender, the organizer, and Veekay Navarathna, the owner of Art India and Medley Arts, did an amazing job both during the length of the exhibition (September-November) and at the Awards Ceremony! You can find a list of all the winners and photos of their artwork at Quan's Travelogues.

The 3D non scripted category had three entries, CaraMia Quan with "Stop Genmanipulation", Corsosman Voom with "No, Not Me" and London Junkers with "Paper against Peace". And the first prize went to... drum roll... LONDON JUNKERS!!! London went onto the stage to receive the award of 4000L and said "thanks so much. I must say it is an honour and I want to thank you guys for the prize. I also want to thank Lizzie and dedicate this to her!! She is my inspiration!!" Awww, that was sweet!

Already back at home, I (Lizzie) took a picture of London next to the award certificate for posterity! Congrats to the winner artist! :)

Great News! Medieval Fantasy Hunt VII !!

LnL is very happy to take part in the 7th edition of the Medieval Fantasy Hunt! The prize we have prepared for you is this impressive complete outfit that looks fantastic on a male and on a female avatar. The coat bottom and collar are both resizable. Womenstuff Hunt December Prize

The second month of the Womenstuff Hunt will start in a few days. LnL's prize for November is still out, now complemented by the December prize. Project Guernica's Gift

Project Guernica in the blogosphere

"Project Guernica" opened its doors to visitors a few days ago! Both London and I would like to thank everyone who attended the Opening for their support and words of praise. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces and a handful of new friends.

It was spectacular to see how visitors enjoyed the installation and found it impressive. The opinion was that this piece was a fit homage to Picasso's Guernica.

Project Guernica to open today Nov 13 at 2pm SLT!

After a lot of work and endless efforts, Project Guernica is opening Tuesday, November 13 at 2pm SLT at LEA6 under the LEA Full Sim Art Series.

The intention of re-creating this masterpiece in Second Life comes from the love for the original mural itself and what it represents. Painted in black and white, it depicts the horrors of war, unfortunately still as updated as it was back then.

After a lot of thought and experimenting with external 3d software, a decision was made; this installation would be built in prims, as an exercise of the possibilities that LEA has given us.

Featured in the Destination Guide, the LEA and UWA websites, this piece is a tribute to Picasso and his extraordinary work.

For a better viewing of this installation:

Something is brewing in the art world!

London has been working very hard to get things done at Project Guernica for the Lea Full Sim Series; I help giving opinions and ideas! All I can tell you is... IT LOOKS GREAT! Sorry for the caps, but it does! This art installation is a tribute to Picasso's Guernica. The picture above shows the landing point and the poster of the exhibition, just a sneak peek! The opening will be soon, so keep an eye on the blog for fresh updates!

Mr. Hunter Hunt prize!

Mr. Hunter Hunt 's newest edition starts November 1 and ends November 30, and LnL is thrilled to take part! We have created this armour type complete outfit that looks fantastic! Womenstuff Hunt to start!

The Womenstuff Hunt starts November 2 and this year it lasts for two months. At the end of the first month, designers will change the hunt prize, so you'll be able to receive two gifts! New Gothic Release, G44-O86!!

LnL is happy to present a new release in the Gothic Collection! LnL G44-O86 is an elegant gothic outfit in black and red. The top is a black buttoned jacket over a red vest and a white shirt with a white jabot. The pants (mod) have a belt detail with a silver buckle. This outfit also brings black gloves, a sculpted collar, red laced cuffs and a coat bottom for the female avatar and one for the male avatar. All accessories are resizable.

Grim Grinning Ghost Hunt!

The Boo Bunny Hunt!

The Boo Bunny Hunt starts Monday, Oct 15! This year, LnL has created a fun skully unisex Tshirt for all the hunters. In tones of burgundy with a bunny skull in the front, this Tshirt is complemented by black jeans (mod). Above you can see a detail of the back and sleeve of the prize. London Junkers at the Art of Protest Contest

The challenge was to create an art installation on the theme "Protest". Many artists answered the call and the The Art of Protest Contest was set up.


This is a very interesting event curated by Quan Lavender and held in Second Life in the Art India Gallery where the pieces are carefully displayed. Great job.



 Some of the participants are Betty Tureaud, CaraMia Quan, Corcosman Voom, Eupalinos Ugajin, Hugo Krell, Noni Abeyante, Pol Jarvinen, Queen Bish, Riali Sandalwood, Secret Rage, Silene Christen and Sisi Biedermann and London Junkers.

London created the piece "Paper against Peace" (see above; detail below). In the description of his work, he writes a powerful message:

"In today's world, where money is everything for everyone, we cannot forget that even with our pockets full without peace, we are lost. LnL protests against the system for not understanding that . Millions of dollars are spent in armament when they should be put into the development of Peace, against hunger, against illness, against hate, against ignorance. We  protest for love, for freedom, for beauty, for education, for humanity....for dreams, and for a better future."

The contest prices will be attributed in 3 categories, 3D art scripted, 3D art non scripted and 2D art. The winners will be voted by public votings and by a jury, consisting of art historian and blogger  Rowan Derryth, artist and curator Ux Hax and art blogger and curator Quan Lavender. 

The votings close November 18 and the nomination of the winners will be November 23. The exhibition is open till November 25. So, drop by the Art India Gallery for a visit and do vote for your favourite art work!
